Apple Picking at Linvilla Orchards

Last Saturday, we went to Linvilla Orchards to pick some apples.  We didn't last too long as the bees were all over the place and Lincoln was determined to eat every rotting apple on the ground.  However, the boys had fun, we briefly visited Pumpkinland, we took a train ride and had lunch.  All in all, a nice fall day with our boys!

Yeah, this didn't really work.  I guess we'll try for another fall-ish picture when we go get our pumpkins.

This picture makes me laugh.

Another 1st day pic

Christa just sent me this picture from school today.  Happy first day! :)

1st day of school (2012)

Ben started a new year of preschool at St. Peter's today.  He's in Mrs. Kelly's four day 4 year old class this year.  He was very very excited! :)

Of course, he got nervous when he thought I'd left the room and there were a few tears shed.  Better luck tomorrow when I truly drop him off.  Hope it doesn't take long before he's running into the classroom and barely kissing me goodbye like last year. :)

Day with Thomas 2012

On Sunday, we went to the Strasburg Railway to take a ride on Thomas the Train.  It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time.  I took Ben to this 2 years ago

....it was awesome to go back with Lincoln AND Nick. :)

The boys warmed up to Thomas by riding "baby Thomas" (as Ben has designated him).

Sir Topham Hatt (now if he's a person, why couldn't it have just been a person in a tux?)  Fortunately, Linc wasn't scared....just not sure why he was posing with this giant man.

Giving his ticket.

Tons of giggles.

There was a children's music performer who had instruments for the kids.  My kids loved it!

Ben even sang a few "doo doo doo's"

I'm a sucker and bought some of the pictures they took of us.  Love having family shots because they are rather rare. :)

Fall trip to the zoo.

Christa and lucked out completely with a trip to the zoo on Wednesday.  The weather couldn't have been better and there were hardly any other visitors.  The kids were happy to run around and see the animals all to themselves.

This was the first trip that Linc was VERY excited about the animals.

Trying to keep up. :)

Yes, that's a stick Lincoln was gnawing on.  Opps.

Riding the train.

Ben's major requirement for going to the zoo was seeing the big tractor.

In the end, I think this was the highlight.  Ben went home shoe and sock-less.  Linc went home pants-less.

Love during play. :)
