Last day of school for Lincoln and PreK graduation for Ben

My little guy on his PreK graduation day.

See this view?  This was basically all we got the whole time.  The girl in front of him wore heels and we couldn't see our little monkey sing his heart out.  (Evidence of singing is coming from the bobbing head and enthusiastic hand motions.)

Pop Pop is in town for the festivities.

Ben can't stand looking mature for long.

Ben's friend Hudson. (Blue mouths supplied by the "ACA" cookies at the reception.)

High five!

Ben's teachers - Ms. Carmela and Ms. Lori

If the day wasn't exciting enough, it was Lincoln's last day of school.  We left Ben's graduation to attend Lincoln's end of year "party."

Lincoln's teacher, Ms. Joellen.

Can you believe this was an attempt for a class picture?  They're 2...what do you expect?

RB Kids Day 2014

The day after Ben's diagnosis, I spoke to his doctor on the phone and asked him where we could find support in the area from other families who faced retinoblastoma.  He answered by telling us about the picnic the Emory Eye Center holds annually....in the spring.  This didn't help us in August 2013, but we looked forward to it ever since.  Last Saturday, we joined about 50 other RB families at a park in Decatur to celebrate these incredible kids who have faced this disease.  This will absolutely be an annual activity for our family and we were able to spend time with the Wartas (Jonas is a few month younger than Ben and had RB about 14 months before him.  They are RB brothers for life. :))

Easter pictures

Looks like the pictures on our front porch are becoming a regular thing.

Except this is how they'd rather look....Ben is singing or making some animal noise and Lincoln is trying to ham it up.  Typical.

Family pic.

Ben was really sick of pictures and Lincoln put up with me a little longer.  Cute kid. :)

Easter Morning

Easter morning!

Please ignore the fallen Easter sign. :)  Ben was excited to search for eggs in the kitchen.  He had to go first to show Lincoln how to "hunt"!

Lincoln caught on and loved searching for eggs.

The baskets were very "airplane" themed.

This is his excited face.

Easter dinner

Now that we don't live in Philadelphia, it's harder to host Easter for our families. My mom was in town, but we also invited our local family, the Emslies, over for Easter dinner.

Harrison loves all Ben's fireman gear.

Spending Easter together brought back memories of the Easter we spent together in 2010!  http://www.krayhappenings.com/2010/04/genesis-park-easter-egg-hunt.html

Decorating Easter Eggs

I think this was the first year that we did Easter eggs WITH Lincoln.  Previously, it has seemed easier to do it when he was napping.  I will have to go back to last year to confirm that.  Anyway, the boys enjoyed it!  Auntie Jen and Nana were here to help.
