Shields Visit

The Shields family spent Thanksgiving in PA and since we got home from CT before they left, we were lucky enough to spend a portion of today with them!  Our 4 boys played nicely together, had pizza for dinner and cake for Dylan and Ben's birthdays.  As always, our visit was too short....we look forward to every time we get to see them!  Thanks for coming, guys!

Thanksgiving Day with Ken and Joanne at Kathy and Don's house!

Thanksgiving visit to CT

We went to CT to visit Nick's parents for Thanksgiving.  Having three little boys inside the house got a little difficult by about 10 AM every day so we bundled up and headed outside to play.

Ben's Thanksgiving Feast at school

Ben's Thanksgiving feast consists of a little show in the church where the kids sing Thanksgiving and autumn songs and then they have a "feast" where the room is decorated with the kids' artwork and crafts.  Ben did great and surprised me by actually participating in some of the songs!

This is him walking in.  Trying to be serious, while also seeing me and being excited....

Lincoln during the show.....

Kate belting it out. :)

Please excuse the questionable mom move I made when giving Lincoln a container of plastic bags to entertain him at the end of the show.  I was solo and needed him contained and happy!

Ben and Kate's school activity together. :(

I do love the fact that Kate's head piece is on sideways.

Love this picture....but wondering how much of it was prepped by the teacher....

Ben's FIRST GIRLFRIEND!  I asked Ben if he wanted me to invite her over for a play date since he talks about here constantly.  He acted horrified and said, "No!  I like to just see her at school."  However, a day doesn't go by when he doesn't chant her name. :)

Ben and Kate's joint birthday celebration

Since we were out of town for Kate's birthday and the Ganas girls will have moved by the time Ben's birthday rolls around, we had a joint birthday celebration for Ben and Kate last night.  We had big plans to go to Bouncetown after pizza and cake....however, being stay-at-home moms and never leaving the house during rush hour, the concept of traffic slipped our minds...as a result, we only made it as far as the mall for a carousel ride instead.  Oh well.  The kids still had fun celebrating together!  Kate seemed thrilled with her princess dress and Ben practically slept with his motorized ambulance.  A successful night over all!
