Philadelphia Zoo

First (of hopefully many since we joined) trip to the Philadelphia Zoo...

The tiger came right over so Ben could wave hello.

Auntie Lauren surprised Ben for a quick visit! He rewarded her by sleeping horribly the one night she was here. Sorry Laur.....molars stink!!

Cutest carrot in the world.

Most of the zoo trip was spent like this...gnawing away at his fingers for some relief. :( Poor guy.

A pony ride....Ben wasn't too sure about it.

We spent some time in the "Children's Zoo" which is pretty much a pet-pet farm.

On our way out, we made sure to find the giraffe and the rhino since those were two of the animals they didn't have at the National Zoo...

Ben tried to offer the giraffe a snack.

She politely declined.

The rhino was so cool. He took off RUNNING around his grounds. It's amazing how fast that very large animal can move!

Ben was less than impressed.

Fun day anyway...the rain started not 10 minutes after we got in the car. Great timing on our part. Fun day, Lauren....thanks for coming up!
